CARETAKER

Full time: 37 hours/week, 52 weeks/year

24 days annual leave plus bank holidays

10.00am – 6pm

Salary: £27,132 p.a.

The college is looking for a friendly and adaptable Caretaker who will play an important part in our college community. Reporting to the Site Manager you will be practical and well-motivated. Your duties will include:

  • the general appearance and tidiness of the site
  • security
  • heating and lighting
  • non-specialist decorating, DIY tasks and repairs
  • liaising with contractors
  • porterage
  • routine Health & Safety checks as directed

You should be aware of Health and Safety regulations, and a qualification in a practical skill would be an advantage, but not essential. Additional payment is available for evening and weekend lettings worked as part of non-contracted hours.

At Freman College we attach great importance to the condition and appearance of the site and buildings. Over the last few years there has been an extensive programme of building and modernisation, and we need to appoint the right person to help us maintain its current high standard.
